Mooki -- We are with you. Not just today, but everyday. We think of Toby, of you, of Stephen, of Yoni -- everytime we walk by Beansprouts, everytime we walk in the park past the spot where we celebrated Toby's birthday last year, everytime we read this blog (almost daily.) And countless others do too. You are not alone. You and your family are proof that we as human beings are capable of more strength, courage and love than most of us ever know. We are with you.

No one can really understand the roller coaster you are on, it is only my wish that you will feel the collective support that is coming your way and find some solace in the fact that even when you despair, there are those of us who will have hope on your behalf. Cliches are cliches for a reason: one step at a time. It is the only way to go. One step at a time. You will make it through this and look up and see the light at the top of the pit. So many of us hope for you, wish for you, pray for you, dream for you, some days it should be okay for you to take a break.

My friend's daughter is one of Toby's classmates and I have been following your story ever since they told me about you. I have been so inspired by your beautiful writing, by your family's strength and by Toby's spirit (you are an incredible family and he is such a beautiful child). You are all in my thoughts.

all of us are holding all of you, and I hope that you can feel it, that we can lessen the burden, even by a tiny bit.

Mooki, Stephen, Toby and Yoni -
I'm sending love, support, compassion and strength your way as you navigate this time. Mooki, your words about Stephen and his 50th birthday moved me to tears, as I've often been moved to tears as I read this blog. All I can offer is support and hope, and think positive thoughts in your direction (I guess some people would call it praying, I call it karma, positive vibes or the like) and share them with you as well.

Happy Belated Birthday Steve! We're proud to have a nephew as
handsome, and gifted as you, such a wonderful father and husband. In her tribute, Mooki says that she sometimes feels God present in your relationship. A Benedictine monk who lived in an ashram in India for many years, told how visitors were asked, "Where is God?" Christians looked up to the sky: Easterners pointed to their hearts: they believe that God is the ground and essence of their being. Each of us is a temple of God, and that's what you're seeing
and feeling in each other! God is sustaining you through these difficult times, by your mutual love! You are in our daily prayers!

Have asked several friends who are also concerned for children with serious illness to pray for Toby and his family. Your blog is often heart wrenching - smile inducing and inspiring - looking forward to some chapters of rest, ice cream and giggles. It is hard - no one can remove that - but many people who have never seen any of you care very much. Also - you must be some kinda gal to have such wonderful sons and husband - good match it sounds. Bless you - we are praying.
